Last Call for T-shirts.  Please bring in all t-shirt forms with payment this week.

 

There will be a parent fundraiser meeting on Wednesday, September 26^th in the EVHS Choir Room at 6:30pm.  All parents are encouraged to attend this meeting.

 

The Yankee Candle order form due date has been extended to October 2^nd. 

Last Call for American Choral Directors Association.  Please bring in form and $30 payment this week if you are planning to audition for the ACDA National Honors Choir.

Football Games- If you have signed to help at the EVHS Choir booth during the EVHS Home football games and canno t attend, please email Mrs. Celesky at rcelesky@msn.com.

October 5^th football game- Please meet Mrs. Celesky in the choir room at 6pm if you have signed up to work at the booth.

Bags- WE NEED BAGS!!!- Please send in your gently used bags for the upcoming bag sale on Oct. 6^th.

VMEA Honors Choir- Please see Mrs. R for paperwork that you must have in order to audition on Oct. 13^th.

All District Choir- Forms will be sent home this week.  The cost to audition is $7.  Please turn in permission slip, All District Choir form, and your $7 to Mrs. R by October 16^th. 

 

November 10^th- All District Choir Tryouts. Time TBA . Place: William Monroe High School in Greene County, VA. 

 

EVHS Choir Fundraising meeting!!

There will be a fundraising meeting for all choir parents and choir executive board on Wednesday, September 26th at 6pm in the EVHS Choir room.

Show Choir fees are now overdue.  Please turn your fees or set up a payment plan.

Purse Sale Oct. 6th

WE NEED Purses and BAGS!!!

We need gently used bags to sale at our upcoming sale.  We have 3 bags at this point.  We are desperate need of Show Choir Risers.  Half of the funds raised from this sale will go to buy Show Choir Risers.  Thanks so much for your help!!

Culpeper Choral Boosters plant fundraiser. ...

Please find attached the fall fundraiser for Choral Boosters, Inc.  All packets with payment are due back to choir directors by Wednesday, September 26th. We're hoping to have plants delivered by Friday. Students will be given one dollar for every order placed to go into their account.

Yankee Candle

The EVHS Choir is selling Yankee Candle Products.  Please let me know if you need a Yankee Candle order form.  All students will receive 30% of the total of their orders for their choir accounts.
All Yankee Candle orders and payment are due on Wednesday, Sept. 26th.

Seniors- The Virginia Music Education Association Honor's Choir will be holding their annual audition on Saturday, October 13th.  The audition piece is "I attempt from Love's Sickness" and sightreading.  The cost of the audition is $15.  Checks and forms need to be turned into Mrs. R by Friday, September 7th.  Please see Mrs. R with any questions.

ACDA- please see previous announcement.  All Forms and $30 to Mrs. R by Friday, Septmeber 14th.

Show Choir Camp- September 14th, 15th, and 16th.. Please turn in lunch orders and $5 to Mrs. R by Friday, September 7th.  It is imperative that you attend this weekend with the choreographer!!
Sept. 14th- 3rd block to 8pm
Sept. 15th- 8am to 5 pm
September 16th- 1pm- 5pm

This is mandatory for all show choir members!!!

ACDA Tryouts National Honors Choirs

The American Choral Directors Association has an honors choir tryout that takes place each October.  Each applicant is recorded by me and either sent or uploaded on line for an audition.  Every other year the honors choir is for regionals (We are Souther division ACDA.) and national conferences.  This year the conference is national and will be held in Dallas, TX on March 13th-16th, 2013.  Students who are accepted into the national choir will have the opportunity to attend an experience of a lifetime, rehearsing and singing with nationally renowned directors and students from around the united states. All expenses such as hotel, registration, and flight will be the parent's responsibility.  A chaperone must accompany each student to this event. 

If your child is interested in trying out for ACDA, please click on the following link.  I will record everyone here at school and upload their tryouts on line.  Please fill out the needed information and send it in with a check made out to EVHS choral Boosters for $30.
