VMEA Forms are Due tomorrow!

***Due to college night being scheduled on Thursday, September 14th the Choir Senior Showcase has been postponed until Thursday, September 28th at 7pm. 

Graduation

Graduation is required for all choirs except Intro to Choir. Intro to Choir may perform. Students will need to be in the choir room at 5pm. Cyclone Way will be closed off to traffic at 5:30pm.

Dress code is "Sunday Best"

Girls- Dress, skirt, or dress pants  (The skirt or dress must be no more than an inch and a half above the knee. Girls wearing dresses or tops that are halter or have spaghetti straps will need to wear a cardigan.)

Boys- PANTS, NO SHORTS (khaki, black, blue), button down shirt (can be short sleeves), tie, or nice polo, dress shoes, socks 

All outfits must adhere to the EVHS dress code. Students who do not dress appropriately will be directed to wear an outfit from the EVHS choir closet.  Failure to wear appropriate dress will result in a "0" grade for the event.

EVHS Spring Concert on May 10th..

The Eastern View High School Choir will be having their spring concert "The Lights on Broadway" on Wednesday, May 10th, 2016 at 7pm in the EVHS Auditorium. Admission is free and donations are appreciated. 

Students need to report to the choir room by 6:15pm.

3. Kings Dominion- We will leave at 7:45am.  Dress is Jean/khaki school appropriate shorts/capris/pants  with your EVHS Choir shirt.  We will arrive home around 8pm.  Please be on time to pick up your student.

1. Last call for cheesecake forms.  Thanks to all students who have sold cheesecakes.

2. The make-up concert that was supposed to held on March 14th will be held on Thursday, April 6th in the EVHS auditorium.  Students need to be in the choir room at 6:15pm. The concert is free.

The EVHS Choir will be attending the Kings Dominion Choral Festival on Friday, April 21st.  The information letter and permission slip can be found on the choir website, google classroom, and on e-mail.   Please note the price has gone up from last year and all students will receive a meal voucher for a combo meal in the park. I will need at least five chaperones for this field trip. The first 50 students to turn in their forms and pay will be able to attend. Please e-mail me with any questions you may have.

This spring students will be entered one time for every five items they sell in a drawing to win gift cards. All fundraisers and payments are due on Friday, February 3rd.

I am in need of parents help in the form of chaperoning and donations for this event.  This is a huge event and your help is greatly appreciated. 9. Battle of the Choirs in a friendly way!! We are in need of many donations for our all distrirct choral event that is coming up on February 10th and 11th (February 17th and 18th for a snow date).  We are in need of water, pencils, brown paper gift bags, paper products, and breakfast food products (please see the link below for the entire list needed).  Students will be given one point for every item that they bring in.  The class with the most points will win a pizza "gathering". When students bring in their items they will be asked to log in what they brought and what class it counts for on a google form on the EVHS Choir website. If a student is in more than one class they must choose which class to give their points to.  A bonus 500 points will be given to a student whose parent chaperones or helps out for Friday or Saturday!  (Chaperones must be on the approved CCPS list through app garden.)

Tomorrow Jan. 17th is the Culpeper County Choral Boosters Dough Raising Day at Dominio's pizza.  The flyer was given out to all students on Friday or will be given out tomorrow.  Twenty percent of all orders taken from this program will be given to the Culpeper County Choral Boosters. We are using the money to fund end of the year scholarships.  Please don't cook and order a pizza to support the choir!
