A cappella Choir Practice CD

The A cappella Choir members were given a CD to practice their festival music and a practice sheet for them to record when they had practiced their music three times each day. Today I gave all of the a cappella students a singing test on "Bonse Aba", their first piece of music. It was obvious that many students did not practice their cd. Please encourage your student to practice their CD tonight. Tomorrow is our last rehearsal before all district festival.

Students who do not know their music will not go to festival.

Thank you for your help with this.

A word about chaperones!! PLEASE READ!!

The Choir goes on wonderful educational field trips each year.  These field trips are also great performance opportunities for our students.  Due to the volume of students on these trips I need parents to help chaperone.  The Culpeper County School system prefers parents who chaperone to fill out a volunteer form and get fingerprinted at the CCPS central office next to Floyd T. Binns Middle School.  The School Board then conducts a background check on all chaperones.  The cost for this is $37 and once completed the chaperone is good for life, in other words the process does not need repeating every year.  Please consider helping to chaperone and getting on the approved chaperone list.  If parents do not help with chaperoning, field trips will be canceled.
Thanks for your consideration and support.

This is a great way for you to have some great memories with your student!!!

Kings Dominion- Chaperones needed...

Chaperones are needed for the Kings Dominion Trip on May 3rd, 2013.  I need at least 5 chaperones for Women's A cappella, 2 chaperones for Men's A cappella, 5 chaperones for Show Choir, and 2 for Artistic Choir.  Parents can be put on the approved chaperone list by filling out a volunteer form and going to the school board office to be fingerprinted.  Please let me know by email or phone if you can chaperone for this trip.  If I do not get enough chaperones to go I will be forced to cancel the trip.  Thank you for your support,
Tiffany Richtarski

Chaperones Needed (Please email Mrs. R if you can chaperone.)

The date of the trip is March 21st.  Please see the info letter for information.

Students who do not have the proper attire will not attend the field trip.

Students will need to bring money with them in order to purchase a meal at a fast food restaurant. While there are no further plans to stop on the way to or from our destination, the bus could stop if an emergency or student need occurs.

Behavior and Expectations - All Choir students are expected to behave in accordance with the Culpeper County School Board Code of Conduct and the EVHS Choir Field Trip Policy found on the EVHS Choir Blog at www.evhschoir.blogspot.org.  Students are expected to be respectful and compliant to everyone, especially chaperones and teachers attending the trip.  Students who defy any of the policies mentioned above will receive a referral and be banned from future choir field trips.
