All District Tryout Information

Dear Parents,

All Eastern View High School Choir members will have a wonderful opportunity to audition for All District Choir on Friday, November 8, 2013.  All District Choir will take place in mid -February at Eastern View High School.  Students who are chosen to participate in All District Choir in the 11^th and 12^th grade will be given the opportunity to audition at All District Choir for All State Choir held at the end of April 2014.

The All District Choir Audition will take place at Fork Union Military Academy in Fork Union, VA.  On Friday, Nov. 8^th, students will need to check in with their first block teachers and report to the choir room.  We will leave EVHS at 8:30am and proceed to Fork Union Military Academy.  Students will audition at FUMA and return to EVHS around 1:30pm.  Students will need to pack a lunch.   Students may bring money with them for concessions and possibly a stop at a fast food restaurant on the way home if time permits.  Due to transportation there is a small window of time for the choir to audition. Dress code for Friday is the same as the EVHS dress code.  While there are no plans to stop other than stated above on the way to or from our destination, the bus could stop if an emergency or student need occurs.

Students will need to pay a fee of $18 for this event.  This fee will include transportation and the audition fee.  All money and permission slips are due to Mrs. R by Friday, October 4th.  As always, students may use money from their accounts to pay the audition fee. Checks need to be made out to Eastern View High School Choral Boosters. (All EVHS Choir fees must be paid up to date in order for students to participate in this activity.)

Chaperones - I will need at least two chaperones for this trip. All chaperones must be approved by the Culpeper School Board.  If you are not on the approved list and are interested in chaperoning, please email me for a form.  Please email me at trichtar@culpeperschools.org if you are interested in chaperoning this event.

Eastern View High School Choral Boosters

1^st Annual Rummage Sale

October 19^th, 2013 9am -3pm

The EVHS Choral Boosters will be holding a rummage sale in conjunction with the Athletic Booster 2^nd Annual Mattress Sale. The rummage sale will be held in the student parking lot. Spaces are limited. You may purchase a space (2 parking spots) for $20.00. Set up will be from 8am-9am. Spirit Nights Buffalo Wild Wings

The EVHS Choral Boosters will be holding Spirit Nights on the following dates from 5 to 9pm.  We are trying to get our special platform risers!!! Please come out and eat at Buffalo Wild Wings on these nights and support the choir....

Silent Auction Meeting Thursday, Sept 12th...

In an effort to help the Eastern View High School Choirs raise funds to pay for the risers needed in order to be more competitive in competition we are attempting to put together a task force that will plan and organize a silent auction.  We are having a meeting on September 12, 2013; at 6:30 pm in the Culpeper County Public Library to begin with preliminary planning and to break up tasks.  Please join us if you are interested in finding out more about how you can help.  We are currently looking for a co-chair to lead this task force.  If you are interested in this role please contact Laura Nicholson at lauranicholson817@comcast.net or at 540-825-3754.
