Men's Ac note
Men’s Ac 9-18-15
The A cappella Concert for the Fall will be held on Tuesday,
October 27th at CCHS at 7pm.
At our meeting last Thursday, we have decided to try to get “Rude”
together for the concert.
I have enclosed the music in this packet. You can practice
your part two ways at home…
1.
Go to http://trichtar.wix.com/evhs-choral
Click on Assignment, click on Men’s Ac, click on Noteflight. You must create an
account, which is free. Search for
“Rude”, there are several, make sure you find the right one. Once you have the arrangement up Click on
play to hear it.
Then to just practice your voice part click
on the bass clef of your line. The
program will only play your voice part.
2.
Go directly to www.noteflight.com and follow
directions above.
The other music is “Blow Blow thou Winter Wind”. This is the audition piece for All District
Choir this year that will take place on November 13 and 14 in Fluvanna. Please consider trying out for this
choir. The event will be held in
February at CCHS. To practice go to the
above website, click on Assignments, click on All Virginia. You will see recordings and music posted. Do not worry if you received the wrong voice
part for music.
We will meet on the following schedule at 7:25am:
Tuesday, Sept. 22nd- Tenors only
Thursday, Sept. 24th- Bass only

*All Choral Forms are now due. Please go to the webite and click on Choral Forms if you need them. Please sign and turn in ASAP.
* All students were given a copy of their choir accounts on Friday 9/11. These accounts do not include the money made from the football game on Friday, September 4th.
*All Choir Fees are now past due. Please bring your choir fee in ASAP in order to have your t-shirt order in for the September order.
*The $260 show choir fee is now due. Outfit fees will not be due until October 1st.
*Outfit fee order forms went home with students yesterday. Please email Mrs. R with any questions. Outfit fees are due October 1st.
*You can Still order yankee candle online at https://www.yankeecandlefundraising.com/home.htm
Please put in our group # 990010513 and then shop. Our account name is Eastern View HS Choral Boosters. Please e-mail Mrs. R if you have placed an order so that your child receives credit for the sale.

All choir students will be given a free ticket and will be required to attend the concert. Students who cannot attend will need to turn in a reason of absence form to the choir mailbox.
*There will be a meeting for the all musical participants on Monday, September 21st in the choir room after school.
* Virginia Music Educators Association Honor Choir auditions will take place on Saturday, October 10th.
* James Madison University forms and information are due October 2nd and information and forms can be found on the website. The trip will take place October 15th.
* There is a car wash scheduled for Saturday, September 26th at Tractor Supply from 9 to 2. This event is run by the EVHS Choral Boosters. Please sign up on the website if you plan to attend. Parents are welcome!!
* Parents who want to volunteer on Choir field trips this year will need to fill out a parent volunteer form and go to central office to be fingerprinted. The cost is $37 and is a one time fee. Please email me if you need a form. trichtar@culpeperschools.org
*The next Football Game is on Friday, Oct. 2nd against Culpeper. Please email me if you would like to volunteer.
*Practice Tracks for all choirs have been put up on the EVHS Choir website. Please encourage your student to practice daily for homework!!
