Announcements for 2-27

1. Google Classroom Log in/ Sight Reading Factory- I will be using Google classroom and Sight Reading Factory for students assignments this upcoming semester. All students except Show Choir were given an account to practice Sight Reading on the Sight Reading Factory website at sightreadingfactory.com. Show Choir will receive their accounts this week. For Google Classroom, students will be given the following directions starting on Tuesday, January 17th.

-Please log into the google classrooms that apply to you. Assignments will now be posted on Google Classrooms. You are expected to check google classroom regularly and complete assigments on-time. Grade WILL be given accordingly. Please see Mrs. R with any questions you may have.

2. The March Calendar for choir events is now posted on Google Classroom.

3. The next Domino's Pizza night is on Tuesday, February 28th. Mark you calendars and support the choir by ordering pizza.

4. March 9th- The EVHS Troubadours will be singing at the Culpeper Women's Club meeting at the Culpeper Library. Field trip forms will be on Google Classroom and on the EVHS Choir website.

5. March 23rd- 25th Beauty and the Beast information can be found at www.evhschoirs.org. There are links for ticket reservations and dinner reservations.

6. Hello,

The EVHS Choir will be attending the Kings Dominion Choral Festival on Friday, April 21st. The information letter and permission slip can be found on the choir website, google classroom, and on e-mail. Please note the price has gone up from last year and all students will receive a meal voucher for a combo meal in the park. I will need at least five chaperones for this field trip. The first 50 students to turn in their forms and pay will be able to attend. Please e-mail me with any questions you may have.

7. The Choir will have a District Assessment preview night in the forum on March 14th. Students are to be at the school by 6:15pm.

8. The Eastern View High School Choirs will be attending All District Festival on Friday, March 17th at Orange County High School. We will be leaving EVHS at 10am and arriving home around 5pm that evening. Permission Slips and Information sheets will be posted on the evhs choir website, google classrooms, and sent through remind/e-mail. 2. The choir has extra popcorn available for purchase in the choir room.

All popcorn that is left is $5.

3. . The EVHS Show Choir is getting ready for our upcoming competition season. We are in need of donations to help cut costs with set. Please look at the link below and sign up for anything that you are willing to donate. Thanks so much to Mrs. Elias and Mrs. Bonds for donating items. We are already using them in rehearsal.

4. The Spring Yankee Candle Fundraiser is out! Please ask your student to see the flyer. You can order online at www.yankeecanldefundraising.com and use our number #990010513. This spring students will be entered one time for every five items they sell in a drawing to win gift cards. All fundraisers and payments are due on Friday, February 3rd.

8. The EVHS Choir will be hosting All District Choir on Friday, February 10th and Saturday, February 11th (the snow date is February 17th and 18th). We will be hosting around 30 high schools and middle schools. I am in need of parents help in the form of chaperoning and donations for this event. This is a huge event and your help is greatly appreciated. Please go to the following link if you are able to help.

9. Battle of the Choirs in a friendly way!! We are in need of many donations for our all distrirct choral event that is coming up on February 10th and 11th (February 17th and 18th for a snow date). We are in need of water, pencils, brown paper gift bags, paper products, and breakfast food products (please see the link below for the entire list needed). Students will be given one point for every item that they bring in. The class with the most points will win a pizza "gathering". When students bring in their items they will be asked to log in what they brought and what class it counts for on a google form on the EVHS Choir website. If a student is in more than one class they must choose which class to give their points to. A bonus 500 points will be given to a student whose parent chaperones or helps out for Friday or Saturday! (Chaperones must be on the approved CCPS list through app garden.)
