Tomorrow - Information for Students

 Students, reminder. PLEASE READ!!!! 

Tomorrow Day.. Report to your 1st block teacher, check in . 
Go directly to the choir room. drop off all things and give permission slips to Ms. Ayers.  Go to auditorium to line up in full concert order on stage.  
Bus 1: Last Name Avellaneda to Hammonds
Bus 2: Last Name Hansohn to Williams   (Do not ask to ride the other bus. It is a five minute bus ride.) 
Outfit: Choir T-shirt, Jeans, Santa Hat 
Bring a change of clothes for when we return. You will need to wear your choir shirt for all three performances. 
Tomorrow Evening... Go Home after school. You will not be able to stay after. 
Report to school at 5pm. You may report to school as early as 4:30pm in order to get dressed. 
Report to forum for check in and warm-up. We will warm-up with FTBMS at 5:30. 
The concert starts at 6pm. This is a grade. 
Outfit: Formal Choir 
Girls: Choir black dress, Black dress shoes, school appropriate holiday accessories
Boys: Choir black suit jacket, black dress pants, white button down  dress shirt, black dress shoes, black dress socks, holiday bow tie (provided by choir) 
A student copy of the Elementary School Program and Evening Program have been posted to Google Classroom. 
A copy of the student line up on the risers has been posted to google classroom.

Important Announcement : Please read...

 Important: Students will not be able to stay after school on Tuesday. Students need to go home and report to the forum at 5pm. 

Week 17 (Dec. 13-17) Winter Break is almost here and it is concert week!

Thank you to all parents who volunteered and donated to help make Rudolph Jr. a success!!!  

This week... 

Elementary Holiday Concerts- Students should have brought home permission slips to you last week. This is for Troubadours, Women's Ac, Men's Ac, and Artistic Choir

Students will need to wear their choir t-shirt and jeans. They may wear holiday school appropriate hats. Students will need to check in with first block teachers and go directly to the choir room to take attendance, load buses, and proceed to the elementary schools. We will leave the school around 8:40 and return around 11. Students will go to their 3rd block classes when we return to the school.

*Attention Seniors- College Information 

FYI- Seniors- Lynchburg College is offering a scholarship for Fine Arts. Any seniors who have already applied to and been admitted to University of Lynchburg can request a Visual and Performing Arts Scholarship Audition while on campus. This scholarship provides up to $3000 per year for students to sing or play in our ensembles and take lessons. Students don't have to minor or major in music to be eligible for this scholarship. Any of your students (they don’t have to be seniors) are welcome to visit VCU for a day, attend classes, get free lunch and a free lesson! This day is usually a lot of fun for students and we love the chance to get to know them. They can sign up for an in-person or virtual visit here

APPLICATION DEADLINES
We have a couple of important deadlines approaching - November 1 is VCU’s deadline for applications that will be considered for our largest academic scholarships. January 15 is the deadline for general admission. Everything students need to find about applications can be found here

AUDITIONS + AUDITION REQUIREMENTS 
Auditions this year will be taking place in-person or virtually, in January and February. If students choose to submit a video recording, they will do a virtual interview with a faculty member so we can still have the chance to speak with them 1:1. Students can find the list of audition requirements here

First off, thank you to all parents who have donated and put time in to help out! The EVHS Choral Boosters were able to purchase over $1400 in much needed uniforms for the upcoming concerts and season! Thank you!!!

Production Week (Monday, Nov. 29 –Wednesday, Dec. 1)

All cast, understudies, and stagehands should report to the auditorium for afternoon rehearsals from 2:30PM-7:00PM. We will be providing a dinner break. Please email us if you are interested in helping to provide food for our students.

Donations for Dinner for Tech Week! 

Parents, we need your help for Tech Week! 

Please sign up to donate these items for this week. We are looking for help from parents with kids involved in the Eastern View Winter Musical of Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer.   We are trying to feed all of the kids this week during Tech week and on Saturday between the 2pm and 7pm shows.  We are asking parents to volunteer to help with those meals either with money or food.  Meals are as follows:


Monday: deli sandwiches, chips and cookies (already purchased)
Tuesday:  crockpot pasta, salad, bread and dessert
Wednesday:  pizza 
Thursday they go home :)
Friday:  do not know if we need to feed them yet or not
Saturday:  walking tacos

EVHS and FTBMS Holiday Concert - December 14th at 6pm in the EVHS auditorium- Admission is free- Students need to wear their choir outfits and meet in the forum at 5pm. We need parent volunteers. *Attention Seniors- College Information 

FYI- Seniors- Lynchburg College is offering a scholarship for Fine Arts. Any seniors who have already applied to and been admitted to University of Lynchburg can request a Visual and Performing Arts Scholarship Audition while on campus. This scholarship provides up to $3000 per year for students to sing or play in our ensembles and take lessons. Students don't have to minor or major in music to be eligible for this scholarship. FYI- Virginia Commonwealth University Information- VISIT VCU

Any of your students (they don’t have to be seniors) are welcome to visit VCU for a day, attend classes, get free lunch and a free lesson! This day is usually a lot of fun for students and we love the chance to get to know them. They can sign up for an in-person or virtual visit here

APPLICATION DEADLINES
We have a couple of important deadlines approaching - November 1 is VCU’s deadline for applications that will be considered for our largest academic scholarships. January 15 is the deadline for general admission. Everything students need to find about applications can be found here

AUDITIONS + AUDITION REQUIREMENTS 
Auditions this year will be taking place in-person or virtually, in January and February. If students choose to submit a video recording, they will do a virtual interview with a faculty member so we can still have the chance to speak with them 1:1. Students can find the list of audition requirements here
