1.Little Caesar Fundraiser- The official date for the Little Caesar fundraiser
is January 22nd. Little Caesar forms will be due with payment on Friday, Feb. 1st. Orders will be delivered on Tuesday, Feb. 12th. All orders need to be
picked up between 12pm and 4:30pm on Feb. 12th. We do not have freezer space to
store pizzas here. Thanks for your help with this.
2. Parent Volunteers
needed for Feb. 12th. We need around 3 parents to help stack and sort Little
Caesar pizzas around 10am on Tuesday, Feb. 12th. Please email Mrs. R if you are
able to volunteer.
3. Feb. 12th- Women's A cappella, Men's Acappella, Show Choir Advanced, and
Artistic Choir will be having pictures taken on Tuesday, Feb. 12th. Please stay
tuned for picture order forms. Show Choir will take pictures in both outfits.
Women's A cappella and Men's Ac will take pictures in their t-shirts and their
formal outfits. Depending on if outfits are here, the date for Acappella and Artistic Choir pictures may be postponed.
4. Parent Volunteers needed for Feb. 12th. I need a
parent volunteer to help get students ready for pictures. The picture times are
1st block, 2nd block, and 4th block. Please let me know if you are able to
volunteer.
5. There will be a Ruby Tuesday's Spirit Night on Wednesday, Feb. 6th. Please come out and support the choir. This would be a great place to have dinner after our after school rehearsal. Take our orders count too!! Please make sure you tell your waitress or waiter that you are with the choir.
6. Show Choir will have their first competition on Friday, Feb.
22nd. We will need several parents to chaperone this event. I do not have the
time for this yet but last year the event lasted all day. Please email me if
you are available to chaperone.
7. Jan. 23rd- Thanks so much to all the parents who came out to our fundraising meeting.
8. If you are not on the choir e-mail or know someone who is not on the choir e-mail, please email Mrs R at trichtar@culpeperschools.org to be placed on the email.
9. There will be a Culpeper Choral
Booster Meeting at 6:30 in the EVHS Choir room on Feb. 18th. We will be
nominating officers for the upcoming school year and discussing the senior
scholarship fund. If you are interested, please email Mrs. R at trichtar@culpeperschools.org. We
have several offices open. Please inquire.
10. All Choir forms and Choir fees are due to the choir by Friday, Feb. 1st. Men's and Women's Acappella need to order a t-shirt for $17 as part of their outfit. The t-shirts are the same as last year for velocity. If you have one you will not need to order another one.
11. All District Choir will be held on Feb. 8th and 9th. I hope to send home directions to Fluvanna High School this week. Parents are welcome to attend the concert on Saturday, Feb. 9th at 3pm. Parents will need to sign out their students with Mrs. R before taking them from the Fluvanna sight.
If there is snow, the make-up date will be Friday, Feb. 15th and Saturday, Feb. 16th.
12. Show Choir auditions for next year will take place on Wednesday, March 6th and Thursday, March 7th in the EVHS Choir Room. More info to come.
13. Auditions for current choir students for next year for A cappella, Artistic, and Beginning Advanced Choir have already or will take place during class time. If a student wants to take Show Choir next year, they will have to attend the Show Choir audition on March 6th and 7th.

the Parent/s of Eastern View Cyclone Choir Members:
The
success of the choral program at Eastern View is due in no small part to the
success of our Choral Booster Club. Behind every successful student
organization stands a parent support group willing to serve the students and
directors of that organization.
You
can make a difference simply by your presence. At a time when your child is
making critical decisions about ethics, behavior, integrity and the future, it
is important for you to be involved. The Booster Club is an excellent way to
stay involved.
I
am asked by parents, "What can I do to help?" Each parent has
something to give. Expertise is needed in every possible area from making phone
calls, sewing and word processing to accounting, legal and medical services.
Our collective group of parents provides the tools of every trade.
Many
parents think that the sole purpose of the Booster Club is fundraising. While
that is part of what they do, the main purpose is to create a partnership that
connects students, parents and director. The goals of this organization are as
follows:
* To promote parental understanding of
student activities and opportunities as well as the purpose and objectives of
the choral/drama programs
* To provide greater communication between
parents, students and the choral/drama directors
* To promote music/drama in the community
through attendance of concert performances and public support of choral
activities
* To assist in raising funds necessary for
realizing the objectives of the Eastern View High School choral and drama
programs
Our next meeting is scheduled
for Tuesday, August 30th at 7:15pm at Floyd T. Binns Middle School in the Choir
Room. Come and learn how you can become part of one of the most spirited
organizations in our school.
