*The popcorn from the popcornopolis fundraiser is in the choir room.  Please remind your student to pick up their order.

*Hello, 

I am in need of one more chaperone for Monday's field trip.  We leave the EVHS at 8:15am to go to Pearl Sample Elementary, then we go to McDonald's for lunch, and then we proceed on the AG Richardson Elementary School.  Please e-mail me if you are able to help out.

*The Culpeper County Choral Boosters (the parent group of the EVHS Choral Boosters) will be having a Domino's Spirit Night on Tuesday, December 20th.  The Boosters will receive 20% of the profit which will be used to fund scholarships for all four secondary schools.  The School with the most profit will receive a pizza party.

All new volunteers will need to complete a background check as well as a DSS Central Registry background check. The background check costs $37.00 and the DSS Central Registry check costs $10.00. Both are payable via cash or check. .

*A Huge Thank you to all parents who helped with our 1st two events of the year and who chaperoned our first field trip!!!! You guys are great!! 

*October 31^st and November 1^st – We are going to have little preschool trick or treat visitors come to the choir classroom on Monday and Tuesday during Men and Women’s A cappella classes. Please send in a bag of candy if you are willing to donate some goodies to our little Cyclones!

*November 4th-Christmas Wreath Decoration and Sale…

We need creative and crafty parents and students to help decorate Christmas wreaths for our upcoming Holiday Musical and concert.   The choir has obtained green wreaths that need a lot of love.  Once the wreaths are decorated the choir will put them up for silent auction at our winter performance on December 2^nd and 3^rd  during Madrigal Feast.   The wreaths can be decorated in fun themes, colors, etc… (example football, pink, wonderland, etc.!) 

If interested, please fill out the form below and we will send a wreath home with your student.  Please send in form (send home by student or e-mail) by Friday, November 4th.  The wreaths need to be turned back into the choir room by Monday, Nov. 28th. All proceeds will benefit the EVHS Choir!! 

November 29th-  After school rehearsal for all choir students till 5pm

December 2nd and 3rd- Madrigal Feast

October 8th - Students who are auditioning for VMEA Honors Choir will need to meet Mrs. R at 7:10am at Culpeper County High School in the Middle parking lot. We will proceed to Longwood. Students need to be dressed for success and have all material needed for auditions (including a water bottle).  Students need to bring at least $15 to eat lunch. We hope to return home between 3pm and 4pm  and 3pm.

 JMU forms were sent home last week. The return time is 3pm not 1:30pm. Forms are due Oct. 5th. All choir forms and fees must be turned in.

The first 40 students to turn in their JMU form/payment, and all choir forms and fees will go. Permission slips are on the choir website.

September 26th- Troubadours will have after school rehearsal on Monday 9-26 in the choir room till 4:30pm.

September 27th **The Eastern View High School and Culpeper County High School Choral Program will be presenting their annual A cappella Concert in the EVHS Auditorium on Tuesday, September 27th at 7pm. Groups from EVHS and CCHS will be performing as well as our special guest group Madison Project, the premiere male a cappella group from James Madison University. Tickets are $3 at the door. Come out for a night of great music!  

If students are helping or performing they need to report to the choir room at 6:15pm.  

Attire for Concert- Girls- black school appropriate dress or skirt and top 

                           Boys- black button down shirt, black pants, black dress shoes black socks, tie

**PARENT HELP NEEDED!! 

We need your help for the remainder of the choir year. Below are a list of events and that will take place for the remainder of the school year and a list of items and help that the choir needs to be successful.  Please take a minute to fill out this form and return it to the choir room by Friday, Feb. 5^th. You can also sign up for an event by using the sign up genius link associated with each event. If you are unable to volunteer, please check the box at the end of the sheet.

May 20th- Graduation

This is for all choirs. Graduation is a test grade!  All students need to be in the choir room at 5:30pm.

Dress Code: Boys- Nice Dress pants (khaki is fine) with button down shirt, tie, dress shoes, socks

                    Girls- Dress, Dress pants and dress top with dress shoes, no heels higher than 2.5"

                     All outfits must be school dress code appropriate. Students will receive a                            grade for their outfits. Students who do not adhere the dress code will wear                          something out of the choir closet.  Graduation last about an hour and a half. 

Choir Dates for Spring 2016 (Dates are subject to administration approval and may be canceled due to inclement weather.)
