American Choral Director’s Association National Junior/High School Honors
Choirs 2015
All students in grades
ninth- twelfth are eligible to audition for ACDA National Honors Choirs that
will be held on Feb. 24th-28th in Salt Lake City, Utah. This is an amazing opportunity for students
to learn a variety of music under a top rated conductor while meeting other
students across the united states that share a love of choral music. All fees,
travel, and chaperoning are the responsibility of the parent/guardian. The EVHS
and CCHS choirs have had many students participate in this wonderful
opportunity!!
9th grade - Junior High School Choir (there is one
choir for boys and one choir for girls)
10-12th- Senior High School Choir
Cost to Audition: $30, non-refundable (Checks made out to
EVHS Choral Boosters)
Students will need to
learn a specified piece which will be taught in class and a few vocal exercises
to show range. Students will record their auditions with Mrs. R during class or
after school, or with their voice instructors.
All recordings and money must be completed and turned in by Friday,
Sept. 12th. Students will be notified of
their audition results by November 15th, 2014.
Students who are
selected and choose to participate will need to pay a registration fee of $125
and book a hotel room (you will be notified which hotel to book your room)
immediately. Students may use funds that
they have fundraised in their choir account to pay for this trip.
