🎵December 17th…Choir Announcements
Here is what is happening this week! It is another busy one! Please read these announcements. Thank you to everyone who volunteered, donated, and chaperoned for the concert and Kings Dominion. I wish everyone a safe and happy holiday break! We will see you in 2024! Festival Season, here we come!
Field Trip Teacher Sign off forms
I am missing several of these. Please turn this into the choir room tomorrow morning 1st thing. Students are reminded to make sure you check in with first block and report directly to the choir room. Do not wait till after morning announcements. Students need to be wearing holiday school appropriate sweaters or sweatshirts.
Students who will not be attending the elementary school field trips are asked to send Mrs. R an email first thing in the morning.
Category 5 meeting on Monday, December 18th from 2:30pm to 3pm
Category 5 members are reminded to meet on December 18th from 2:30pm to 3pm in the choir room to discuss Festival Music.
Winter Plan
Please check out the EVHS Choir Winter Plan for our performances. Students need to make sure that they know all pieces being performed at these events.
*Holiday Elementary Concerts Information:
Second and Third Block Choirs will be performing for the Elementary Schools during 1st and 2nd block. The schedule is as follows.
12/18- AG Richtardson
12/19- Farmington
12/20- Pearl Sample
These concerts are required and are a grade. Students who need to test or are missing class work will not be able to attend and will need to make up the grade. Permission slips will be sent home soon.
I will need parent volunteers for these field trips to help chaperone and donate water. Chaperones need to be on the CCPS Approval list. Please sign up if you are able to help.

Holiday In School Concert:
The 2nd and 3rd block choirs will be performing a Holiday in school concert on Thursday , December 21st at 8am. Students are expected to wear school appropriate holiday attire and jeans for this concert. This is required and a grade. Students who are not there must complete the Reason for Absence form and make up the grade either in class or virtually. I could use a parent volunteer for supervision help at this concert. *All District Choir
The paperwork for All District Choir will go home this week and the first week of December. Students need to turn in their permission slip and their $55 fee (checks written to EVHS) by Thursday, December 21st. This may be paid online with credit card. The music will be distributed as soon as it arrives. Students are responsible for knowing their music before attending the event on Feb. 9th and 10th at Fluvanna High School. . Students are encouraged to Fundraise to help deter costs if needed.

Check out all of the awesome Fine Art Events that are happening this year in Culpeper County Public Schools!
*World’s Finest Chocolate:
Choir students will have the opportunity to take part in the World’s Finest Chocolate Fundraiser. Parents must sign a permission form. Students will then sign out boxes and be responsible for selling all 60 bars in the box. Profit from the box will be placed in their charms accounts which may be used towards choir fees and field trips. Please email Mrs. R with any questions.
Lions Club Bland Contest
The Annual Lions Club Bland Contest will take place on Feb. 24th at 1pm at the Culpeper United Methodist Church at 1233 Oaklawn Dr. Students will need to prepare a composition to perform and compete for scholarships. Please see Mrs. R for an application.
