Dear
Parents,
The Eastern
View High School Choirs have an opportunity to visit the James Madison
University Campus on October 24th, 2013. During this visit students will be informed
on the college admission process, expectations, campus life, etc. Students will be given a tour of JMU,
including the brand new performing arts building. It is never too early for
students to visit colleges.
On October
24th students will need to check in with their first block teachers
and report to the choir room. We will
leave EVHS at 8:30am and proceed to James Madison University. Students will sit in an informational session
and tour JMU and return to EVHS around 1:30pm.
Students will eat at the famous D-hall. Students may bring money with them for a
possible stop at the campus bookstore if time permits. Due to transportation there is a small window
of time for the choir to take this tour. Dress code for this trip is the same
as the EVHS dress code. While there are
no plans to stop on the way to or from our destination, the bus could stop if
an emergency or student need occurs.
Students
will need to pay a fee of $18 for this event.
This fee will include transportation and money for lunch at the famous
D-hall. All money and permission slips
are due to Mrs. R by Friday, October 18th.
As always, students may use money from their accounts to pay the trip
fee. All Choir fees must be paid in
order for students to attend this field trip. Checks need to be made out to
Eastern View High School Choral Boosters.
Chaperones- I will
need at least four chaperones for this trip. All chaperones must be approved by
the Culpeper School Board. If you are
not on the approved list and are interested in chaperoning, please email me for
a form. Please email me at trichtar@culpeperschools.org if you
are interested in chaperoning this event.
Please email me if you have any more
questions.
Go Cyclones,
Tiffany Richtarski
