April 10th Dress Rehearsal
Dear Parents or Guardians,
The EVHS Artistic Choir students have an amazing opportunity
to perform at the Culpeper State Theatre on Thursday, April 10th in Culpeper,
VA. The State Theatre has also given us
the opportunity to have a dress rehearsal during the day of the concert. All of
the choir students have been rehearsing for this competition during class time
and at after school rehearsal. Students
are expected to practice singing at home daily.
Students who do not know their music and dances will not be able to
attend this trip.
All students will need to attend school on their regular
schedule on April 10th. Electrified
will leave EVHS at 9:35am and return to EVHS at 11:10am, Artistic Choir will
leave school at 11:15am and return to EVHS at 1:30pm. Artistic Choir students are asked to pack
their lunch or bring money to purchase lunch at McDonald’s on the way back to
school. Innovation will depart EVHS at 1:35pm and return to school at
2:45pm. Students who will not be performing
at the state theatre will be given an assignment and will stay with Mr. Roach
or Mr. Walker during their class period.
Students will need to take a prepared organized dress bag with them to
the state theatre. Students who attend this field trip will miss choir class
time only. All students will need to turn in a permission form and have a
medical and contract form on file in order to attend this trip. Students will need to wear appropriate CCPS
dress code approved attire. Students who do not have the proper attire will not
attend the field trip.
Chaperones- I will need
at least two chaperones for this event. All chaperones must be approved by the
Culpeper School Board. If you are not on
the approved list and are interested in chaperoning, please email me for a
form. Please email me at trichtar@culpeperschools.org if
you are interested in chaperoning this event.
Students will need to
bring money with them in order to purchase a meal at a fast food restaurant. While there are no further plans to stop
on the way to or from our destination, the bus could stop if an emergency or
student need occurs.
Behavior and
Expectations- All Choir students are expected to behave in accordance
with the Culpeper County School Board Code of Conduct and the EVHS Choir Field
Trip Policy found on the EVHS Choir Blog at www.evhschoir.blogspot.org. Students are expected to be respectful and
compliant to everyone, especially chaperones and teachers attending the trip. Students who defy any of the policies
mentioned above will receive a referral and be banned from future choir field
trips.
Thank you for your attention to the above details. I am excited for this opportunity and know
that your student will have a memorable experience. Please do not hesitate to email me if you
have any questions.
